Welcome 2022! For New Year's Day and Steve's 67th Birthday, we took a p-day trip to Lecce, known as the Florence of the South. We enjoyed walking around the old section of the city, seeing the ancient Roman amphitheater, Piazza del Duomo, the churches of San Matteo and Santa Croce. The native Lecce stone is soft enough that sculptors and stone masons can really show off their skills.
