P-Day trip to Matera

We love going to Matera.  This is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world.  On our way out, we stopped in Altamura and bought focaccia for lunch for all the missionaries.  



New to Bari are Anziano Myres from Dallas and Sorella Dwomoh (pronounced Jew Mo) from Reggio Emilia in northern Italy.  She was born in Ghana.  



The caves on both sides of the ravine are an amazing testimony of man's adapting to his environment.


Caves are part of the backside of this church.  Not uncommon for homes and businesses to have a conventional looking facade and be
