Funerals can be Fulfilling

This past week, Sorella Cannariato had her best day as a missionary and it involved a funeral.  Let me explain.  Wednesday evening, Bishop Pappagallo's wife called us desperately in need of our help.  The Catholic husband of a less active sister to whom she ministers, passed away.  Sister P wanted to help with the music, so she called us and two of the sister missionaries to play/sing at the funeral Thursday morning.

Dawn was up for the challenge of playing an organ she'd never seen in a lovely small town cathedral in Palo del Colle (Stake of the Hill) about 25 minutes out side of Bari.  After okaying our music with the priest, Dawn did a wonderful job with prelude, the sisters sang the opening and closing hymn and Dawn even played a sacrament hymn during the passing of the communion.  Of course all of the music was from our hymnal.  Great opportunity for my dear companion.
